At the very centre of every company is a founder. Anything that limits their ability to build is a structural drag on Africa’s economic future.
The Enablers ManifestoCatalyst for the ecosystem

Who is an enabler?

An enabler is an individual or organisation actively working to build and strengthen an ecosystem, making it easier for startups to launch, grow and bring new jobs and innovation to their city, country and continent.

Our founding thesis

Ecosystems grow when enablers collaborate.

Enablers collectively form the fabric of the ecosystem. The collective actions of every enabler shape the health and progress of a city’s ecosystem.

Understanding your role in the ecosystem is only half the picture. The other half is knowing how that role connects to everyone else's, because it's the alignment between enablers, not their individual efforts alone, that shapes a city's progress.

How ecosystems develop

How do ecosystems develop?

By recognizing which phase an ecosystem is predominantly in, or where specific bottlenecks exist, we can apply targeted interventions and allocate resources most effectively.

01

Talent Formation

Building the core technical skills — coding, AI, product design — that form the absolute bedrock. No ecosystem grows without people who can build.

02

Conception

Skilled individuals generate ideas and find supportive environments to incubate and refine them — where talent becomes a venture.

03

Infrastructure & Policy Creation

Government and private entities build the physical and regulatory backbone that lets early-stage founders work without fighting their own city.

04

Local Capitalisation

Initial capital comes from friends, family, and local angels in local currency — the runway that carries a venture to proof of concept.

05

Economic Ripple

Growing founders create jobs, solve local problems, and generate impact — value that spreads well beyond the companies themselves.

06

Attraction

Successful companies draw global attention — an influx of international talent, capital, and media. Earned, never manufactured.

07

Multiplier

Mature companies demand new skills, fostering new talent — and the cycle begins anew as capital and expertise are reinvested.

Our work

WE ARE HERE AS A CATALYST

Africa does not lack founders. It lacks the connective tissue (the dinners, the conversations, the rooms where capital meets conviction) that turn individual brilliance into enduring companies.

The Enablers Network was built to make that tissue. We convene operators, investors, policymakers and institutional partners around recurring rituals: weekly founder gatherings, intimate dinners, pitch sessions, and the relationships that outlast any single event. Today we operate across Nigeria and West Africa. Tomorrow, every city where African founders are building.

01

Convene

Bringing founders, funders and operators into the same room, week after week, city after city.

02

Connect

Building relationships between ecosystem actors that compound into deals, hires and partnerships.

03

Catalyze

Translating connections into capital deployed, policy shifted and companies built at scale.

Partnership

Build with us.

Have an idea for an initiative? Whether you’re a partner with a mandate or an enabler with a vision, there’s a place for you in what we’re building. Let’s build it together.
